An incredible week in Los Angeles to visit several of the city's emblematic mural paintings. An intense programme of visits, meetings and contacts carefully planned by Leslie Rainier, Herant Khanjian and Michael Schilling from the Getty Conservation Institute.
A unique opportunity for the ALMADA project to get to know what was being done on the other side of the ocean during the same chronological period as Almada Negreiros. Of particular note is the America tropical mural by David Alfaro Siqueiros, whose history and conservation inspired the ALMADA project.
