[SOS intervention for stabilization of chromatic layers at Gare Maritima de Alcântara]
Durante esta semana foi levada a cabo uma intervenção pontual de consolidação e fixação de camadas cromáticas em risco de perda no mural ‘varinas dividindo o peixe’ da Gare Marítima de Alcântara. O alerta da fragilidade das camadas com perda de coesão e de adesão foi dado por Milene Gil, aquando das campanhas analíticas ocorridas, entre julho e setembro, no âmbito projeto ALMADA. Cumpre-se assim um dos objetivos do projeto que é o de alertar para o estado de conservação das pinturas murais de Almada Negreiros e de fornecer os dados materiais necessários sobre as causas e consequências das anomalias presentes . A intervenção está a ser realizada pela empresa Nova Conservação, Lda, sob a coordenação de Giuseppe Agulli, do Instituto Central per il restauro (ICR).
During this week, an SOS intervention was carried out to consolidate and fix chromatic layers at risk of loss in the ‘Varina dividing the fish’ mural at Gare Marítima de Alcântara. The warning of the fragility of the layers with loss of cohesion and adhesion was given by Milene Gil, during the analytical campaigns that took place between July and September, within the scope of the ALMADA project. One of the objectives of the project is thus fulfilled, which is to alert to the state of conservation of the mural paintings by Almada Negreiros and to provide the necessary material data on the causes and consequences of the present anomalies. The intervention is being carried out by the company Nova Conservação, Lda, under the coordination of Giuseppe Agulli, from the Central Institute for restoration (ICR).
