Contract for the execution of two fresco paintings by the painter José Almada Negreiros for the BE Patrícia Prazeres School in Lisbon. And what a great discovery this was by Researcher Inês Cardoso, a fellow of project ALMADA, after months of searching national archives. With the help of Dr. Miguel Infante, from the archive of Construções Escolares, it is now possible to appreciate this document that transports us to 1955.
In the image, the first page of the contract with the signature of the artist, who received 50,000 escudos for the undertaking. More data about this, and other surveys, carried out by Inês will be disclosed in the project's newsletter 7, which comes out on March 1st.
