What about Spanish murals of the 20th century? Needs and opportunities.

In this lecture, an overview of the production of murals in Spain during the 20th century is given, relating the type of works carried out with the political and socioeconomic events that conditioned their characteristics and their durability. We will see how many of them were lost and forgotten without the appreciation they demand. There are many studies to be done from which we can learn a lot about our identity and our more recent history, as well as how artists in our field have reinterpreted traditional mural techniques and introduced new industrial materials into art. The combination of interest, the collection of documents from the artist's immediate environment and the use of current analytical and diagnostic techniques will allow us to approach the conservation and restoration processes in the safest conditions to preserve such a significant heritage.
